What color?

I really need to pick out a color for the daycare room and get the room painted but I have no idea what color to paint it. Obviously I don't want white but what color? The room will probably have a mix-match of different educational type decorations with primary colors.

I asked a friend, who is an interior decorator, for advice. She said to paint it a pale/light yellow. What do you think? If you have another idea, please let me know.

I don't like yellow. I've also read that it promotes anger.

I'd go with a beige or tan. Like maybe the color Heather just used for Jason's room.

Yellow color is an excellent feng shui choice for the children's rooms, as well as the family room.

I found that on a website...I have yellow in Jillian's room, its a Mickey Mouse room...and before Elizabeth was born, we never wanted to know the sex, we made her room yellow....You'll find some website's that say yellow is sadness and others say its cheerful....

How about dungaree blue and gray to remember your Navy days.

I like yellow - we have our master bedroom, master bath, dining room & entry yellow. Hey - Melodie...who u trash talkin' about yellow to? LOL...just kidding! Anyway, Karen, I think a lot depends on the shade of yellow too. There are some that are more of a golden yellow - gold/tan vs. sunny yellow vs. washed out pale yellow (which I don't care for) vs. crayola yellow. I'd almost go more towards the golden yellow..a tan/yellow, it will probably look more warm tan than yellow because the yellow is in the undertones. A lot of tans can be cool but having yellow in it warms it up. Good luck & I cannot wait to see it! Holler if you need help!
